So, my husband and I have found a new distraction and form of therapy in this process. I adapted the lyrics to a popular song by The Magnetic Zeros to suit our situation. It’s silly, it’s a little rough, but it sure makes us smile. And there are some inside jokes. I’ll put the words below. Enjoy!
“Home is Wherever I’m With You… AndHereWeAre Version”
Portland and Bavaria, I miss Santa Monica
Not the way that I would miss you
Eucalyptus, lavender, tea tree oil and juniper,
Girl, I’ve never smelled one like you
Glad you are my travelin’ friend, I don’t know what lies ahead
There ain’t nothin’ that I fear
Well, coffee, beer, and mountain hikes, music, cake and star light
There ain’t nothin’ please me more than you
Chorus:
Ahh, Home
Let me come Home
Home is wherever I’m with you
(2x)
I’ll follow you across the sea, ride a train, a jet, jeepney
Girl, you’ll never get away from me
I like to eat my fish raw, but not so sure of Misawa…
But I’d go there with you
That’s true!
We dream of possibilities, where we’ll go and what we’ll see
Nothin’ new is sweeter than with you
And on that plane we’re daydreaming, like it’s only you and me
Geez, wonder where we’ll be…
Ahh, Home
Let me come Home
Home is whenever I’m with you
Ahh, Home
Let me come Home
Home is when I’m alone with you
Home
Let me come Home
Home is wherever I’m with you
Ahh, Home
Yes, I am Home
Home is when I’m alone with you.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
