When we were planning the trip, a full five days seemed quite long. I was sure that I would be more than ready to come back home by the week’s end. I was wrong. None of us were happy to leave Turkey, which I guess is exactly how you want to feel when it’s time to go. We enjoyed the sunshine, the incredibly beautiful setting, and especially the warmth of the Turkish people we met. There was SO much more we wanted to explore and do. So much more we wanted to taste. We spent a good amount of our travel time on the way home discussing how and when we could return. I am looking forward to showing you more pictures and telling a few stories this week. I will also be posting more pictures on my facebook page.
I may receive a commission if you purchase something mentioned in this post. More details here.
I don’t know what exactly I was expecting from the Turkish Riviera, but, after a rather grueling 17 hour day of travel, what I woke up to was just unbelievable. There was gorgeous yellow sunshine, a shimmering coastline of deep blue waters, breathtaking and dramatic snow-covered mountain peaks, and orange trees heavy with fruit everywhere we looked. I will try to show you, but please believe me– these pictures do not do Kiris justice at all!
