Although I usually have plenty to say about all sorts of things, there are some experiences that leave me speechless. Like volcanic beaches, apparently. I knew while we were in Tenerife that I had to share what I was seeing with anyone who would look… But I can’t think of anything to tell you, beyond the fact that I am always amazed by all that I haven’t seen or experienced before. I didn’t know water could be this intensely blue. Or that beaches could look like this. That for some people, this sort of thing is normal. For me, it is just incredible. And not a day has gone by since we got back that I haven’t found my mind wandering these beaches. For what it’s worth, this is how I usually feel about any beach (taken on our first day):
I went in as many times as I possibly could, and to be very candid– didn’t take a shower after the last dip, as I wanted to bring some of that saltwater back to England on my skin. (Yes, you could say that I really am ready for summer.)
Sigh… I really didn’t know this kind of beauty existed, and that it is really pretty easy to get to.
Do you feel this way about the ocean? For my husband, it’s all about mountains– which made Tenerife perfect for us!
