We just returned from our roadtrip to Portugal I wanted to show you some snapshots of Lisbon. It’s such a beautiful and interesting city! I absolutely love Portuguese architecture, and the aesthetic in general. It’s similar to Spain’s, but more feminine, with more finesse and elegance.
First, I’ll post some pictures of a market we went to near Rossio Station. There were lots of different stalls under a tent, selling foods and handmade items. Lots of cured meats and cheeses, beautiful breads, and sweets. We were especially taken with the dread fruit and nuts stands, and the beautiful sculptures they made with figs and almonds! Smoked meats are also extremely popular in Portugal, and we really enjoyed these flavors in foods throughout our time in Portugal. My favorite stop was not food-related at all! There was a gentleman selling handmade shoes, and Amelia and I each got a pair. I loved all of the baby/ toddler shoes, though!!And here are some snapshots of Lisbon’s beautiful and fun and interesting architecture. It’s a huge and wonderful city to explore! Thanks for coming with us!
