What is the first thing you do when you move into a new home? Play your own music? Hang a certain picture? For me, it’s always fresh flowers.
Sorry, we only got one shot like this, and Amelia must have been savoring the moment before we unlocked the door! |
To me, fresh flowers feel welcoming and celebratory. Plus the fact that they are perishable means that someone must be living here.
It’s moving day, and we are still waiting for the moving truck to come with our crate from Germany. They are three hours late, so far…
But we ARE living here now. All the rest will come together shortly.

Oh goody… can’t wait to see the transformation begin and to see you settled. One whole year! That’s quite a while! And it might be lots longer.

Congratulations on your new home! I moved around a lot as a child and I suppose the 5 years I lived in Florida before moving to Spain were the longest I was ever in one place. Living in Madrid I truly crave that “home” feeling. You are an inspiration that you create that wherever you are. And flowers are the perfect place to start. 🙂

Wow, fresh flowers is a great way to greet a new home. For me it’s having access to my mugs & making a cup of tea.
