I love gathering flowers, branches, twigs, anything I can find for floral arrangements around the house. Now there are no flowers left in our garden, and most of the leaves have fallen from our trees. But there’s always something. Here’s a little bundle I rounded up yesterday, featuring ivy berries. I didn’t pick them all, since they provide fresh food for the birds at this time of year.
I’m hoping to get to the market tomorrow for some proper flowers, but in the meantime, it’s nice to have an overgrown yard with plenty to work with. I can’t help but think of this as a metaphor for life: There is always something.

love it, Ariana! so beautiful!
These type of bouquets last longer!!! Love the berries!
Happy to see something pretty is around to make you smile. Enjoy the farmer’s market!!
What is the vase resting on? Table, chair, counter?
“proper flowers”–Ariana, you are becoming so British already! Liz
Dad, it’s on a vintage desk in our dining room!
