As we were creeping along in traffic trying to get out of the city at the end of our first trip to London, I was fascinated by real, flaming gas lamps! And these gorgeous flats. Traffic jams aren’t so bad, with this kind of scenery.

I love reading your blog and looking at all the wonderful pictures! My family (husband, son and myself) lived in the UK for nearly 5 years from 2002 – 2007, in Surrey just 30 miles outside of London. We moved there when our son was only 4 1/2, and it has been one of the best experiences of our lives! We have been settled back in the US for 5 years now, but I will always fondly remember our time as expats, and hope to be able to live abroad again in the future.
