Snapshots of Lisbon

We just returned from our roadtrip to Portugal I wanted to show you some snapshots of Lisbon. It’s such a beautiful and interesting city! I absolutely love Portuguese architecture, and the aesthetic in general. It’s similar to Spain’s, but more feminine, with more finesse and elegance.

First, I’ll post some pictures of a market we went to near Rossio Station. There were lots of different stalls under a tent, selling foods and handmade items. Lots of cured meats and cheeses, beautiful breads, and sweets. We were especially taken with the dread fruit and nuts stands, and the beautiful sculptures they made with figs and almonds! Smoked meats are also extremely popular in Portugal, and we really enjoyed these flavors in foods throughout our time in Portugal.IMG_6454 IMG_6456 IMG_6457 IMG_6458 IMG_6459 IMG_6460 IMG_6464My favorite stop was not food-related at all! There was a gentleman selling handmade shoes, and Amelia and I each got a pair. I loved all of the baby/ toddler shoes, though!!Handmade children's shoes at a market in LisbonAnd here are some snapshots of Lisbon’s beautiful and fun and interesting architecture. It’s a huge and wonderful city to explore!IMG_6465 IMG_6468 IMG_6472 IMG_6473 IMG_6475 IMG_6476 IMG_6479 IMG_6491 IMG_6493Thanks for coming with us!
